Wait im sorry i started the thread..... if i go to that earlier link theres a good chance it may work with my card? Its a all in wonder 2006 edition with a x1300 video. I was able to go get the latest vista driver for the video part obviously but the tv tuner card part sits with a question mark in my device manager

will ATI Support their All-In-Wonder TV Tuners?
Also right now all of my TV watching is done through an ATI All in Wonder VE. I like the setup and would like to continue but w/o this card. If I buy a seperate HDTV Tuner, can my monitor only be hooked up to it, or can it remain hooked up to my GPU? That is all I can think of for now. I hope to get building within

TV Tuner Card
I'd avoid the ATI All-in-Wonder. ATI makes good hardware and buggy software. They always list tons of features, but half of them don't work, and their drivers are crap. This is a TV tuner that compresses the show & sends it to your computer over a LAN, or even to your laptop over the Internet.

Cablecard Problem when viewing Showtime, HBO, etc and quality

A Mac is better than a generic PC for the sole reason that Apple designs and builds the hardware and then tailors the OS to work optimally with it. I look at how Vista supports ATI All-In-Wonder video cards. These cards are very popular because they integrate a TV tuner and graphics card in one neat package.

There's a CATV jack in the office that we're not using, so I figured I'd run the cable to my computer and be able to record TV on my Vista machine. I found an ATI All-in-Wonder 2006 that was very reasonably priced for a tuner- equipped card with 256MB of memory and HDTV output ($137 from Amazon).

ATI TV Tuner not Recognized
People install Vista and the game or app they've been running for the past two years under XP won't work under Vista. They're pissed. They can't get their ATI All-In-Wonder card to show the TV tuner or FM Tuner under Vista. They get even more pissed. Then they want to go back to XP as fast as they can.

NTSC TV Tuner Card for Vista Media Center?
I dual boot with 32bit Windows becacause I do a lot of work with VPC that needs to specifically be VPC and not Virtual Server. If it wasn't for that I would junk I do have a TV tuner (ATI All in wonder 9600) and it's not working in Vista 32 bit. I figured this problem would be resolved by the final release.

Ati All in Wonder cards
ATI has announced that they will provide an AIW tuner driver for vista but it will only work with newer Xxxx series AIW cards so your 9000 Pro AIW card tuner will have If you bought an ATI All In Wonder, the TV tuner portion is not supported by Media Center because it doesn't have an onboard MPEG encoder chip.

I was able to go get the latest vista driver for the video part obviously but the tv tuner card part the OS preventing these tuners from functioning, and obviously with the right drivers the tuners WILL work, so it is just all about money then.... isn't it?
